Jalbrook's Concert History

Jan and Alan George, owners of Jalbrook Cottages, were thrilled when one of their first guests in the new cottages commented that it would be an ideal place to hold an outdoor concert.

The Jalbrook Concert is held in a natural amphitheatre surrounded by towering euacalypts and Balingup Brook on the Jalbrook property in Balingup on the last Saturday of each November.

Balingup is located 240 kms south of Perth on the South West highway and is a very scenic drive.

Enjoy the yearly Jalbrook Concert - under the starsThe first concert was held in 1999 and featured Penelope Reynolds, a soprano from Perth along with the Ten Cent Shooters from Margaret River and they were accompanied by ElectriClassics under the baton of Mr Ashley Arbuckle, our musical director.
The concert was very well received and the organisers were encouraged to carry on with the planning for the second event.

With the idea that Australia has so much talent they decided to focus on Australian artists where possible and to date some of the best loved and known performers have performed at this annual outdoor event.

Each year the Jalbrook Concert grows in stature as the organisers continue to bring world class entertainment into the South West, and is considered to be a significant rural event.
